A lucky few to spend a night at the Guggenheim
Starting next week, New York’s Guggenheim Museum will host its first overnight guests in a new hotel suite. The work of Belgian artist Carsten Höller, the Revolving Hotel Room was booked solid just days after its announcement. For $550 to $800 per night, October 25-January 6, a few adventurous visitors get a double bed, mirror, desk and dresser, all fixed to four slowly revolving glass discs in the middle of the museum’s exhibition space. For everyone else, the room can be viewed October 24-January 7 as part of “theanyspacewhatever,” a project where artists use the iconic museum as their medium.
