America’s favorite blonde gets her own room at the Hilton.

Barbie may have lost her 2004 bid for U.S. president, but “girl power” is still alive and well in Buenos Aires. Now through August 31, you can tuck your little tyke into a pinked-out Barbie room at the Hilton Buenos Aires. She — or, um, he — will be shuttled in a Barbie car to a special guest room stuffed with Barbie dolls and Barbie-themed movies, games and even toiletries. Afterwards she’ll get her glitter on with a “princess makeover” at the Hilton spa. At bedtime, she’ll lay her head on her Barbie pillow and dream of growing up to be just like the iconic fashion toy. In other words: a bleach-blonde astronaut, lawyer and nurse with a 19-inch waist, 39-inch bust and 33-inch hips. And though a lifetime of study couldn’t get you close to Barbie’s resume, your girl’s come to the right place for the “perfect figure.” Routine plastic surgery and rampant eating disorders have marked Argentina among the most image-obsessed nations in the world.
