Europe’s cultural powerhouse gets its biggest party started
While Edinburgh is no stranger to festivity, it kicks things up a notch this week with the start of two month-long festivals. The famous Fringe is the largest of seven festivals the city hosts this month, boasting 31,320 stage performances. And the Festival of Spirituality and Peace, which originated in 2005 as part of the Fringe, welcomes Ghandi’s grandson Arun to help celebrate its theme, “Be the Change: Wellbeing of People and Planet.” Read more about Edinburgh’s festive summer here.
