Giorgio Armani opens his first hotel
Leave it to one of fashion’s biggest names to choose the world’s tallest building for his first hotel. The debut property in the new Armani Hotels & Resorts collection opens tomorrow at the Burj Khalifa in downtown Dubai.
With 160 rooms, the hotel also offers the first Armani-branded spa, a 12,000-square-foot wellness haven with thermal suites and an outdoor swimming pool. The designer has also slapped his name across an in-house floral shop (Armani/Fiori), a sweet shop (Armani/Dolci), and of course the nightclub (Armani/Prive, which has an older sister in Milan).
But if you’re looking to take advantage of the skyscraper’s views, you’ll have to splurge on a suite — they’ll be located on the 38th and 39th floors, while the rest of the guestrooms are down on floors five through eight.
