Kick-start your travel memoir
If you’re an aspiring travel writer looking for some guidance (or a way to kill a bout of writer’s block), then you may want to clear a few days in your calendar this spring. The Inn on the Alameda, an award-winning hotel in historic Santa Fe, is hosting a three-day, four-night workshop, “Writing your Travel Memoir,” with travel writer and teacher Anne Chalfant. In addition to honing your skills, you’ll explore the city on walking trips designed to inspire your creativity. The workshop, May 23-27, includes accommodation, daily breakfast and a farewell dinner. If you’ve already written a story that you want Anne to critique, you can sign up for a private 60-minute session for an additional $75. The same opportunity is open to brown-nosers writers who want more personal critiques of the material generated in the workshop.
