Mexico City’s newest boutique hotel is high on design
Designed by Yabu Pushelberg, boutique hotel Las Alcobas has just opened in Mexico City’s Polanco district. Meaning “The Alcoves,” the 35-room property has a contemporary design informed by traditional Mexican influences. The latter is at work in the hotel’s Aurora Spa, too, where treatments feature local ingredients (think: agave, maize and vanilla).
But you’ll have to wait until spring to sample cooking by Chef Marta Ortiz, Mexico City’s own celebrity chef, who will helm the hotel’s two gourmet restaurants.
