The Barvikha Hotel and Spa, touted as Moscow’s first luxury spa hotel, opens tomorrow. Private terraces, Frette linens and teakwood-accented baths outfit each of the 65 rooms (conceived by the designer behind Bulgari Hotels in Milan and Bali). While the wellness center features 14 treatment cabins and a restaurant serving organic, vegetarian fare, the piece de resistance is in the hotel’s workout room: a Kinesis Personal Gold exercise machine, trimmed in 24-karat gold leaf (one of only 100 ever made).
