Napa hotel reveals the secrets of truffles
Sure, the Napa Valley is America’s capital of wine — but the city of Napa is fast becoming the region’s epicenter for epicurean adventure. “Truffle Camp” begins Sunday at the Westin Verasa, led by the hotel’s own Michelin-starred chef Ken Frank. (His restaurant, La Toque, is famous for its seasonal truffle menu.) Campers can expect three days of hands-on cooking classes, private tours of local farms and wineries and, of course, truffle goodie bags. A second camp runs January 18-21.
