In its decade of luxurious existence, Las Ventanas al Paraíso has been in the business of romance. So much so that they recently hired a “director of romance” to handle customized couple experiences. Now, in the name of love, the highly feted Los Cabos resort is doing the impossible: teaching men how to cook a gourmet meal. With the newly launched “Men in White” program, an eager — and courageous — male guest can prepare a personalized meal for his sweetheart, which the couple enjoys together in the privacy of the hotel’s softly lit herb garden.

But don’t worry, men, you’re not alone: Las Ventanas’ new executive chef Fabrice Guisset, formerly of Paraíso de la Bonita, is on hand to help design the menu and prep the food. At the final hour, though — as butler escorts lady to the table — it’s up to the pupil to prove he’s got the chops to wear chef’s “whites.” They’ll be no room for mishaps either, as the gentleman will be stationed in an exhibition kitchen, allowing his champagne-sipping significant other to look on in horror admiration. But fellas: even while you’ll be laboring, don’t expect this meal to ring up cheap — it’s around $420, without alcohol. The upside? At least you won’t have to do the dishes.
