Vienna brings opera to the masses
Ever dream of attending an opera in Vienna? Well, now you don’t even have to buy a ticket. Starting tomorrow, and lasting through the end of the year, the Vienna State Opera presents works by Verdi and Mozart for free.
Sixty opera and ballet performances will be broadcast live to the public on a 540-square-foot LED screen outside the famed opera house. The roster includes Rossini’s Barber of Seville (September 6 & 9), Verdi’s Nabucco (October 3 & 10), and Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro (October 20, 25 & 29).
