Starwood gives Waldorf Astoria a run in Park City
Waldorf Astoria gets new competition this week in Park City with the opening of the St. Regis Deer Crest Resort. The Starwood resort offers exclusive ski-in, ski-out access to Deer Valley, while ski butlers are on hand to store equipment and warm boots. Full butler service — a St. Regis signature, of course — only extends to those guests who book suites. However, all 181 rooms offer private balconies and views of the slopes. Dining options include two Jean-Georges eateries and the St. Regis Bar, which offers a unique version of the Bloody Mary: the 7452 Mary, denoting the resort’s altitude.
