Take a hike from the world’s poshest base camp

The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek wants you to climb a 14er (or for laypeople, a mountain exceeding 14,000 feet in height). To make it easier, they just launched a series of three “Hike Weeks” in August and September. The five-day packages include four nights at the Vail, Colorado, resort, daily meals and plenty of high-tech hiking gear. Each day you’ll hike to higher altitudes with a professional guide, and by vacation’s end, you’ll have summited one of Colorado’s famed 14ers. To reinforce Beaver Creek’s claim as “the most luxurious base camp in the world,” you’ll also get two free treatments at the resort’s own Allegria Spa.
