The world’s first $1 million vacation
Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace Hotel has launched a seven-day vacation billed as the “ultimate holiday experience.” While the two-person getaway boasts plenty of luxuries, the most stunning feature is its price tag: a cool million dollars. The week begins with two first-class flights to the palatial hotel, where you’ll stay in the gold-accented Palace Suite. A personal butler will tend to you between private jet excursions, where guests can claim a handmade Persian rug in Iran, receive a spa treatment at the Dead Sea and hit Bahrain to dive for pearls — the fruit of which will be fashioned into gifts by on-site jewelers. Though $142,000 per day may seem steep, this prime example of “trophy tourism” will earn plenty of bragging rights.
