Waldorf-Astoria skis into (and out of) Park City
Today, Park City, Utah, welcomes the Dakota Mountain Lodge, the Waldorf-Astoria Collection’s first ski in/ski out property. While it’s too early to hit the slopes, a summer gondola ride will bring you to hiking and biking trails.
Back at the lodge you’ll find 175 rooms outfitted with fireplaces and private balconies. There’s also a Spruce restaurant — the first outpost of the original San Francisco eatery — serving up seasonal, French-inspired fare: think caramelized asparagus and sweetbreads, or honey-lacquered duck breast. But honey’s not only used in the restaurant: you’ll also find it in the signature facial at the resort’s Golden Door Spa.
